Hometown St.Thomas April 2025

Techwillow in St. Thomas by Peri Hayes Anusha Dsouza and her beloved husband, Elvis Sequeira, discuss their flourishing Techwillow business. The pair are beaming to be celebrating their service in this welcoming community. Anusha is a mobile game developer, having dedicated 15 years thus far to this field, with blockbusters and customized Unity3D games under her belt. Meanwhile, Elvis is a software architect with 20 years of experience. Both with farming backgrounds, Anusha and Elvis sought a hobby farmland property, “Elan Estates” in Bayham. Here with their daughter, they enjoy nature; raising bunnies, chickens, dogs and even their adopted pet snake. With a current total of four Educators, Techwillow is operating in two locations – St. Thomas and Tillsonburg. Techwillow is a STEM-based program led by Anusha, a Certified STEM Educator with a passion for working with children. As Elvis highlights, “Anusha has a profound love for teaching.” The motivated entrepreneur adds, “I wanted to come out of the corporate job for local work.” Anusha has impressively earned her Bachelors in Math, Physics and Statistics, as well as her Masters in Computer Applications, along with being a Google Certified – Project Manager, Product Owner and Scrum Master. The versatile Techwillow is suitable for ages seven through thirty. Skill building specifically geared toward high school graduates involves website and game development, as well as support offered while applying for jobs. The unique benefit is having lifetime access to the Techwillow course material, as Anusha and Elvis voice in unison, “Once a student, always a student of the Techwillow family.” Techwillow has partnered with Mechatron Robotics to develop structured learning courses and kits in coding and robotics —

both software and hardware — with their syllabus evaluated by STEM.org and more than 25 course options. Anusha and Elvis proudly share that the STEM.org certificates which students earn for completing these courses are recognized on a global scale. Tutoring and online workshops are also available for grades K through 12. They are presently preparing for their “STEM-Surge”, both in Tillsonburg and St. Thomas; entailing an eight-week- long adventurous program to complete the entire STEM course in a single summer. In particular, Anusha is striving for further mentorship opportunities; strengthening their engagement with local schools and robotics groups. As her three-year goal, Anusha shares her intent to develop a national-level competition team. Techwillow is accepting four to six students per class, for which individuals can register through their techwillow.ca/ website. Alternatively, phone 647-250-1223 to book a demonstration and navigate your child’s personal interests. Techwillow is a space for exploring innovation and discovering future technologies, ultimately unlocking one’s potential. Beginning on April 16th, these courses will be held at the Atrium every Wednesday evening.
