Employment Services Elgin Job Fair by Peri Hayes Employment Services Elgin has been active throughout St. Thomas and Elgin County for over 30 years, organizing job fairs for employers on an individual basis while recognizing the demand for a wide-reaching event in recent years. Last year, Employment Services Elgin held their most ample job fair to date with a record number of attendees. Tina Swaenepoel, Executive Assistant and Marketing Coordinator, shares, “This year, we expect an even larger attendance.” As Mark Durbridge, Job Developer, proceeds, “We partner with organizations such as Fanshawe Career and Employment Services, St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation, St. Thomas and District Chamber of Commerce, County of Elgin Economic Development and Elgin Business Resource Centre.” Of their fourth year operating their highly anticipated Employment Services Elgin Job Fair, Tina and Mark detail, “The ongoing success of this event reflects the strong community support, and the importance of creating accessible job opportunities in our region.” Attendees will have the connective opportunity to meet various businesses across an array of industries, learn about current job openings, receive resume guidance and seize on- the-spot interviews. Moreover, this event is open to the public. Tina and Mark reveal, “There will be opportunities for individuals of all experience levels, from students and recent graduates to seasoned professionals.
