Railworks Coalition The Railworks Coalition is a community organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating St. Thomas’ railway heritage. They promote key historical sites, including the CASO Station, Elgin County Railway Museum, BX Tower, and St. Thomas Elevated Park. Through special events and activities, they offer opportunities for the community to connect with our rich railway history. Their mission is to protect these iconic landmarks while fostering a deeper appreciation of our past, celebrating the present, and planning for a future that honours our cultural heritage. Join them in preserving and sharing the legacy of St. Thomas’ railway culture.
Elgin-St. Thomas Coalition to End Poverty The Elgin-St. Thomas Coalition to End Poverty was formed in 2016 by community leaders to address poverty-related issues across the region. The coalition includes individuals with lived experiences of poverty, alongside representatives from government, education, and business sectors. Focused on key areas like housing, income security, transportation, and food security, the coalition promotes living wages, social assistance reform, and equitable access to resources. Active in raising awareness and providing support, members collaborate to empower communities, foster understanding, and build a coordinated approach to end poverty. Their vision is a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
