It is determined by a valuation of the company that is performed each year at the request of the Trustee of our Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Trust. For this purpose, our trustee hired the independent firm Chartwell, an expert in valuating closely held companies of this size. The valuation process ends with Chartwell naming a value for the entire company, which is then divided by the number of allocated shares to arrive at a per-share price.
