The Lerwick Club were at Wakefield on 26th August liberated at 0745 in light south west wind. Nailsworth a 1-2-3 for those Walker Brothers. Bristol South NRFC a win for Steve Bryant followed by two for Steve Moseley with Dave Moore in 4th. Bristol South Road Fed had 45 members from 6 clubs sending 919 birds liberated at 0815 in a west north west wind at Okehampton. Taking the top nine in the Fed was Brian Olver of Sodbury Vale. Well done Brian. Portishead (12/397) a top six for R & J Whiteside. Avon (6/115) Darryl Lee takes the red card followed by Goldsmith, Son & Alexander with the Brice Family in 3rd & 4th. Mangotsfield (10/168) a 1-2-3 for Dave Tyrer plus 10th, 15th & 17th Fed, Phil Wilkins was 4th plus 22nd Fed. Hartcliffe (5/143) top four for S & S Whittle plus 12th, 13th, 14th & 16th Fed. The Combine had 11 clubs send 1,789 birds to Stoney Cross liberated at 0700 in no wind. A good day for Stuart Wilcox taking the top 14 in the Amalgamation, well done Stuart. Carlingcott (14/354) a 1-2- 3 for Clive & Jill Rogers with Neil Sales plus 49th & 50th Amal, Sid Miles was 4th. Paulton (9/168) a 1-2-3 for the Barresi Family and Don Bull, Derek Taylor was 4th. Towers (8/280) as I said earlier a good day for Stuart Wilcox taking the top 16 in the club, plus top 14 in the Amalgamation. The BBC were liberated at 0730 in a west south west wind at Guernsey. In the Young Bird race 9 members sent 58 birds. Winning our Section (C) was M Williams with Clift & Harding 2nd and P Barlow in 3rd with Brooks Bros & Wilcox in 4th. In the Any Age race 4 sent 21, Mr & Mrs Brown take top spot followed by Geoff & Cath Cooper, Dave Fare was 3rd with D Cousins in 4th. Well that’s it for another week, enjoy your pigeons.
