Unlocking Your Most Important Tool Whether you’re an athlete, a weekend warrior, or simply trying to move without pain, Megan Pazos, owner of Unlocked RMT, a new home-based massage therapy clinic in Byron, believes that your body is the most important tool you have, and massage therapy is her way to help you keep that tool performing at its best. “After getting my Bachelor of Science degree at Western, I knew I wanted to help people feel their best physically,” explains Megan. She decided that massage therapy was her path to doing that and graduated from Fanshawe as a registered massage therapist (RMT). Megan Pazos, owner of Unlocked RMT Megan opened Unlocked RMT in 2024 and provides therapeutic and sports massage, including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and relaxation techniques that “unlock” conditions interfering with the body’s ability to perform optimally. Taking a person-centred approach to understanding each client’s goals, Megan uses her knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and hands-on techniques to assess movement patterns and create personalized treatment plans that help with pain relief, athletic performance, injury recovery, or stress reduction. For people struggling with headaches, jaw clicking, or neck discomfort, Megan also focuses on temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). She uses a combination of myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and gentle joint mobilization to address the root causes of TMJ. Building strong relationships and helping her clients experience a difference in their bodies keeps Megan motivated each day. She loves sharing insights, such as explaining how a muscle works or offering simple self-care tips. “It’s great when clients leave feeling better and more empowered to take care of themselves,” Megan says, reflecting on the immediate relief and long-term progress her clients experience. When she’s not at her massage table, Megan enjoys hiking Byron’s trails with her dog, snowboarding at Boler Mountain, or playing soccer. It was an easy choice to locate her business in
