ROTC More than 10% of students on our campus train to become Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Space Force. Embry-Riddle’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 157 has been recognized as among the top 10% of all detachments nationwide. Detachment 157 ranks No.1 in Rated Officer selection and has one of the highest Space Force officer selection. In addition, Detachment 157 is one of the top pilot producers for the Air Force, with the exception of the Air Force Academy. The Naval ROTC unit, one of the largest and most diverse in the nation, provides a dynamic and supportive environment for future leaders. It offers the chance to commission as ensigns in the Navy or second lieutenants in the Marine Corps in areas that include aviation, submarine warfare, surface warfare and special operations. The battalion, composed of over 130 future Navy and Marine Corps Officers, boasts an over 75% rate of first-choice service assignments for its graduating midshipmen, demonstrating the program’s commitment to helping students achieve their career goals.

Eight Embry-Riddle AFROTC Detachment 157 cadets have earned NATO jet spots, the most awarded for any detachment nationwide. Combining Detachment 157 in Daytona Beach and Detachment 028 in Prescott, one-fifth of AFROTC graduates attending the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training in 2025 will be from Embry-Riddle. Comprised of over 200 cadets, the battalion commissioned 64 second lieutenants into the Active Component, National Guard and Army Reserves last year, marking the largest graduating cohort in the program’s 40-year history. Embry‑Riddle also boasts the third-highest-producing Army ROTC organization of all non-military college programs nationally. The Embry-Riddle-Gold team has earned the chance to compete in the Sandhurst Military Skills competition for the third consecutive year. The Gold team finished the grueling two-day qualifying Ranger Challenge in second place to move on to Sandhurst. The Army offers cadets a chance to commission as Second Lieutenants on Active Duty or in the Reserves or National Guard, an option that allows students to start civilian careers immediately upon graduation while still serving their country part-time. All Army scholarships cover 100% of tuition and fees; currently, over 81% of the Eagle Battalion is on scholarship.
