AVIATION SAFETY ONLINE Combining Embry-Riddle’s longstanding legacy as a leader in aviation safety with the unique resources of the university’s Boeing Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety, this fully online, 120-credit-hour program prepares aviation professionals to meet the technical challenges of maintaining safe and efficient everyday operations. Taught by faculty members with a range of industry experience and connections, this program is ideal for those who want to boost their current skills or begin a new career path. Courses are designed to teach the science, practice and business of aviation safety, and all students will have the opportunity to use our unique Virtual Crash Lab to map crash sites and investigate wreckage through an online interface. You will be taught to think critically and anticipate the needs of a dynamic and ever-changing industry. You can also take advantage of a 4+1 Program that combines this degree with an M.S. in Aviation Safety. Our country’s complex commercial, private and military air travel system would cease to function without the work of professional aviation maintenance experts, and there is great demand for degreed aircraft maintenance technicians who can service, troubleshoot and repair aircraft. The 2025 Boeing Pilot & Technician Outlook projects a global need for 710,000 aviation
technicians in the next 20 years. The degree is made up of general
education courses, technical courses and labs, which lead to the FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) technician certification. You can select one of four minors: Avionics Line Maintenance, Aviation Safety, Business Administration or Cybersecurity Application and Management. Building on Embry-Riddle’s legacy in flight operations, this unique major is focused on the complex policy, business, safety, training, human factors and mission planning of space operations. You will be prepared to meet the workforce needs of the rapidly expanding space industry, including civilian, military, commercial and private industries. The program explores uncrewed launch and satellite systems, as well as human spaceflight habitats and delivery systems. The campus’s proximity to the Space Coast offers a host of relevant internship and career opportunities. Noteworthy: Two Embry-Riddle research payloads traveled to suborbital space during a recent test of Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket. UNCREWED AND AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS ONLINE Once the domain of military and government agencies, uncrewed systems have entered the civilian and commercial sectors and are transforming the world as we know it. To meet the demands of this burgeoning field, Embry-Riddle has become a pioneer in uncrewed systems and robotics education. Ours is one of the first degree programs to prepare graduates for the anticipated growth, innovative development and effective use of uncrewed systems technology across all domains: air, space, ground and maritime. As a student, you’ll customize your degree to fit your desired career path by selecting from three learning tracks: Administration , Operations or Development . This program is also available as an Associate of Science at the Worldwide Campus. APPLIED METEOROLOGY AZ METEOROLOGY FL
In the Meteorology program, you will use cutting-edge meteorology labs and interactive meteorological graphics software to understand and forecast atmospheric phenomena and then apply theory to operational weather forecasting and decision-making for weather-sensitive industries. In addition to the degree, you may also pursue an Emergency Response Meteorologist Certification or FAA Aircraft Dispatch Certification. PILOT OPERATIONS ONLINE This flexible program is designed to help pilots achieve leadership roles that demand a degree, such as line pilots who want to be promoted to chief pilots or warrant officers in the military who are transitioning to civilian careers. This degree provides the expertise necessary for students entering this emerging field as remote pilots, field service representatives, mapping technicians and UAS operations administrators. Graduates are well-versed in the regulations and procedures required to operate uncrewed aircraft in U.S. or international airspace. Curriculum offers in-field flight experience and state-of- the-art simulation, allowing students to operate uncrewed aircraft in both virtual and actual environments, fly Uncrewed Aircraft Systems missions as part of a crew, cultivate an appreciation for industry standard safety protocols and develop a strong foundation of aviation fundamentals.
