SOFTWARE ENGINEERING FL AZ ONLINE Students in our program are being prepared for one of the fastest-growing and highest-paying careers, with positions in a variety of industries ranging from aerospace to video game development. Thanks to real-world, hands-on projects — such as flight control of an autonomous aircraft or power control in a hybrid automobile — students develop the knowledge, skills and ways of thinking required to design and implement large software systems while gaining a clear understanding of network integrity. We are one of the few software engineering programs in the nation with a highly marketable Cyber Security Track offered on the Arizona campus. The program, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, abet.org, under the General Criteria, culminates in a two-semester capstone design sequence in which you are part of a team of student engineers who design, build and demonstrate a working system or system of systems, often for real-world customers. Noteworthy: The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects job opportunities for software developers will grow 25% by 2032, with a median salary of $124,200. SYSTEMS ENGINEERING FL From spacecraft design and robotics to the logistics that support global shipping, today’s complex technological platforms require skilled engineers who understand how these systems work and what it takes to enhance their efficiency. The pioneering B.S. in Systems Engineering degree program provides the skills to analyze and boost the performance of interlocking networks using a systems thinking approach. This program teaches you the engineering life cycle and how to manage technical frameworks, preparing you for a challenging career as a working systems engineer. You’ll learn to coordinate the development, testing and maintenance of all types of complex systems, ensuring they function effectively, and you’ll be ready to take on key roles related to analysis, efficiency, reliability and safety. Noteworthy: Systems engineers are in demand at Northrop Grumman, The Boeing Company, Collins Aerospace and many more companies. Early career systems engineers can earn an annual average salary of $73,621.

Engineering continued COMPUTER ENGINEERING FL AZ Students design and build from day one. Working individually and in teams, they have the opportunity to learn about embedded computer systems and develop those systems for projects ranging from autonomous aircraft to energy-efficient automobiles. The two-semester senior capstone design sequence follows the development cycle of an actual engineering assignment. Working in multidisciplinary computer, electrical and software engineering teams, students design, build and test systems to ensure they meet customer requirements. Graduates of this program, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, abet.org, under the General Criteria, often find themselves part of research and development that spans many industries. Noteworthy: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for computer hardware engineers in 2023 was $138,080. COMPUTER SCIENCE FL Computer Science students benefit from the high-tech atmosphere featuring state-of-the-art computer facilities, team software development and real-time hardware laboratories, and a wide range of cutting-edge tools and resources. Typically ranked in many top career or opportunity lists, the availability of jobs in Computer Science continues to grow as society’s dependence on computers and computer systems continues to increase. The bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Embry-Riddle allows students to study a standard computer science track or specialize with an area of concentration in Cybersecurity Engineering and prepares students to emerge with a solid foundation in computer science basics, advanced computer science topics, and software engineering practices. Noteworthy: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Computer and Information Research occupations have a median annual salary of $136,620 and a 23% projected increase in job openings by 2032.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FL AZ With electronic devices enabling everything from digital computers to satellite navigation, our graduates are in demand in many fields. Students learn industrial- grade design processes with the latest computer-based tools early on, with plenty of opportunities to work with and design real-world systems — such as the telemetry system of an autonomous aircraft or the power switching for a hybrid automobile. The program, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, abet.org, under the General Criteria, prepares graduates earning this degree to accept offers from top-flight employers such as Textron, The Boeing Company, Northrop Grumman, Garmin and the Department of Defense. Noteworthy: The median annual salary in 2023 for electrical engineers was $109,010, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. ENGINEERING ONLINE Engineering is always a growing, in-demand profession. Our degree program, accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, abet.org, under the General Criteria, is designed from a multidisciplinary perspective with subject matter from mechanical, electrical, aeronautical and systems engineering. The educational focus is anticipated to support the growth and innovative development of aerospace technologies and systems and address current industry challenges. Graduates will be prepared to effectively enter research, development or design-related positions. Noteworthy: Our program is designed to prepare graduates to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam — the first step in obtaining the Professional Engineer certificate.

ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY ONLINE In this program, students put their engineering skills to work across a range of industries. The curriculum emphasizes the development of problem-solving and design skills, engineering judgment and fundamental industry knowledge. Numerous research projects, cutting- edge virtual labs and simulation methods, plus a capstone course, ensure that graduates can effectively define problems, select appropriate methodologies and properly evaluate the outcomes.
