by Mike Sharpe from Minnesota. Dan Doroshenko shared updates about the Byron-Springbank Veterans Monument, which will be installed in Springbank Park in September 2025. Guests enjoyed a “Test Your Knowledge of Byron” game, with questions about key moments in Byron’s history: When was Byron annexed? When did it become a Police Village? What were the locations of the O.P.P. Station? When did Byron have its largest Police Village? When did the Legion receive its charter with 50 Byron residents? And when was the Clock Tower erected? These amazing items are still available for order—contact Phillip at 519-619-8363 for Hoodies and Sweatshirts, and Tim at timcjpcanada@gmail.com for T-shirts. A huge thank you to Gord Sackville for his support and wisdom, and to those who generously donated to the event, including Brad Boug, Brenda Tarasenko, Tom Arnold, and Tim Hawman for their beautiful paintings. We also appreciate the local merchants who contributed gift certificates and a special shoutout to Leo’s Pizza and Metro for the delicious food.
