Working Principle of the Ultrasonic Flow Meter The working principle of the SU series ultrasonic flow meter is based on the transit-time differential method. This method involves sending ultrasonic pulses between two transducers placed on the exterior of the pipe. When a pulse is transmitted in the direction of the flow, it travels faster compared to a pulse sent against the direction of the flow. By measuring the difference in transit time between these two pulses, the flow rate of the medium can be accurately determined.
