I hope to eventually become a Forensic Chemist but like I said before who knows, I truly love the work I am currently doing and I could retire at Futuro Health, helping to bridge the gap of healthcare staff shortages and building the best and most prepared healthcare workforce!

I truly believe in that being a Certified Pharmacy Technician has gotten me to where I am today. It saved me on more than one occasion, when I was laid off and simply by the people, I was surrounded by wherever I worked. Don’t get me wrong I had some bad eggs at some of the places I worked at, but they never changed who I was as a caregiver to my patients and ensuring my patients always came first, were always taken care of and that my patients knew they were not just a prescription to be filled but someone I knew I needed to take care of every time they came to my pharmacy. Always remember you could be dealing with a patient on the worst day of their life, everyone is fighting battles that we can’t see, so smile and just be there for your patients as the best Pharmacy Technician ever!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A STUDENT OR BRAND NEW TECHNICIAN?
Professional associations like the National Pharmacy Technician Association (NPTA) and the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) have profoundly impacted my career and pro- fessional development by providing invaluable resources, networking opportunities, and ongoing education. Through NPTA, I've gained access to a wealth of industry insights, best WHAT IMPACT HAVE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS, SUCH AS NPTA, HAD ON YOUR CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT? Never limit yourself. I would say embrace lifelong learning and stay curious about advancements in the field. Develop strong communication skills to build trust with patients and colleagues, and always pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accu- racy and patient safety. Be proactive and take initiative to improve processes and solve problems, while building a strong professional network for guidance and opportunities. Maintain a positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges and remember that your career path is not limited to your starting position—explore different areas within pharmacy and advo- cate for your interests and goals. Keep patient care at the forefront of your work, celebrate your achievements, and stay passionate and adaptable as you navigate this exciting and impactful career.
