Founded in 2008 by Mark “Houdini” Funston, the company started as a one- man operation and has since grown into a thriving business with four fully equipped vans and a dedicated locksmith shop serving both domestic and commercial clients. Over the years, North West Emergency Locksmiths has built a reputation for rapid response, technical excellence, and trusted partnerships with other locksmith firms across the UK. In 2014, the company expanded into the auto locksmith sector, securing major contracts with Wirral Council, The AA, Vauxhall, and Ford, while continuing to support estate agents and homeowners across the region. The team is now actively pursuing further key service contracts, including with the Cadent Gas Emergency Service and NHS Trusts. A standout achievement for the business was when Mark set the UK record for the
fastest lock pick—just 0.31 seconds— at a Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) tradeshow.
