Teamwork Helps Us Respond In Wake Of Hurricane Helene

In the aftermath of the recent Hurricane Helene – especially in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina – our associates have shown once again what makes our team culture so unique. Thankfully, all of our associates were accounted for, with most avoiding major damage to their homes. Additionally, all of our facilities avoided major damage. And because of your continued support and participation in Averitt Cares for Kids and Team Up Community Challenge activities, we were able to extend a helping hand to those in need. In response to the devastation and flooding, Averitt Charities donated $100,000 to Samaritan’s Purse . You also showed how we come together for a common cause through our bottled water and wet wipes collections. We encouraged associates throughout our network to participate, and did you ever deliver. Combined, we collected more than 611,000 pounds of bottled water and wet wipes that were distributed to Asheville associates and community members in need. Thank you for stepping up when our teammates and communities needed it most. Your commitment to helping people is what makes our team such a special one to be part of! T m

Many of our teams have combined to provide supplies for people affected by the recent hurricanes.
