8. Once sheeted, then turn the ignition off and complete the following checks: • The load is distributed evenly along and across the body and it is contained within the body - not protruding/resting on/over the sides, or at risk of spilling. • The rear lamps and reflective marker are clean and not damaged. • There are no stones, bricks, etc. trapped between tyres that could become a hazard to other road users or pedestrians. • The vehicle is swept completely clear of any debris. • There is no warning lights illuminated or alarms sounding. • All equipment is stowed correctly, safely, and securely for transport. • Tyres are inflated correctly and in a legal and roadworthy condition.
Compactors
Static Compactor Containers
1. Secure the Static Compactor
• Confirm the static compactor is firmly secured to the ground before beginning any movement operations.
2. Check the Hopper
• Ensure the compactor hopper is empty prior to disengaging the compactor. • If not empty, request the customer to complete a compacting cycle to clear the hopper.
3. Disengage the Compactor
• Remove all locking pins or clamps securing the container to the compactor. • Ensure the clamps are fully cleared from the container before proceeding.
4. Engage the Vehicle
• Attach the vehicle to the container following the standard connection procedure.
5. Initial Lift and Movement
• Lift the container slightly off the ground (a few inches) and pull forward, carefully moving the container away from the compaction unit. • Lower the container back to the ground in a safe area.
