● Bins visually checked prior to tipping – lifting lid to check ● Bin locks provided to customers ● Customer awareness of responsibility to secure container ● All instances to be report to management of persons in bins and customer informed. ● Near Miss reporting in place ● Avoid confrontation if person will not leave. Do not force them ● Call police if persons become aggressive

Site Clearances – Bulky Collections
● Before clearance commences staff to carry out a dynamic risk assessment. ● Ensure sufficient staff are available for the size of the clearance and items being moved ● Plan you route before removing waste making sure any trips, hazards are removed or highlighted. ● All staff to have manual handling training ● Wear company approved PPE – Gloves Hi Vis, Safety Boots as a minimum. ● Use proper lifting techniques (bend knees, keep back straight).
