3.3.5. City & Community Events In addition to hosting open houses, the City led an extensive community engagement effort through participation in nearly 20 in-person events designed to broaden participation in the M1M initiative and showcase related projects like the Eastside Transportation Plan and Safe Streets initiatives. These events helped contextualize M1M within Fort Worth’s broader planning landscape.
Events included cultural festivals, neighborhood gatherings, educational settings, and transit hubs. At each event, the City shared project information, distributed bilingual materials, and collected feedback through physical surveys. High-attendance events like Tarrant County Back to School Round-Up, Harambee Festival, and ArtsGoggle attracted more than 1,000 participants each, significantly increasing project visibility.
Outreach at Trinity Metro transfer stations was particularly effective for gathering survey responses and connecting with transit riders. The following timelines provide an overview of community events attended by the MTP project team.
