Credibility, Trust and Respect Examines the leaders’ role in setting the standard of workplace behaviours and the imperative for creating an environment built on respect while developing a culture of reciprocal trust

Courage, Truth and Humility Explores the role of bravery in personal and management contexts, the benefits of truth in leadership and the value of balancing courage with humility Mission, Vision and Values Examines leader accountability in exemplifying organisational mission, vision and values while recognising the ways in which personal values impact performance. Authentic Leadership Highlights the benefit of leaders being their genuine selves through self-awareness, relational transparency, internalised moral perspective and balanced processing

- Situational Leadership - Explores the extent to which a leader should combine the use of supportive and directive behaviours, relative to levels of employee competence and motivation - Transformational Leadership - Emphasises the importance of empowering employees to use their skills and abilities to achieve organisational outcomes - Ethical Leadership - Identifies the need for people leaders to act with honesty, courage, compassion, generosity, fidelity, integrity, fairness, self-control and prudence

- Performance Leadership - Highlights the role of the organisational leader in driving a culture of performance

- Innovation Leadership - Explores the challenges of leading, creating and fostering innovation across the organisation

- Risk Leadership - Compares the risk management role of functional managers with organisational leaders’ accountability for both operational and business risk management - Organisational Culture - Illustrates the leaders’ role in supporting and shaping shared values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviours of the workplace collective - Employee Engagement - Identifies the importance of working with employees to motivate, communicate, and encourage them; to develop an engaged and talented workforce that is able to realise the organisation’s strategy and vision. - Organisational Communication - Highlights the importance of achieving organisational success through the extent, frequency, volume and quality of communication between leaders, employees, customers and communities. - Organisational Development (OD) - Introduces the strategic process to measure and compare a current workforce with the future workforce relative to the organisation’s strategy and business planning process - Demand Analysis - Provides practical tools for analysing current capability needs, future skills demand and frameworks for addressing known or emerging gaps

- Supply and Demand Gaps - Examines the capability of determining potential shortages, surpluses and any skill gaps while providing the competence to implement appropriate strategies and prioritisation of those strategies - Develop and Implement OD Strategies - Provides the knowledge and requirements to develop strategies that address OD issues and challenges within the organisation - Talent Management - Articulates the benefits of retaining highly skilled and valuable employees and the importance of identifying key employees for the purpose of succession planning - Organisational Learning - Emphasises the importance of effective and ongoing learning and development that achieves sustained growth across the organisation - Organisational Change - Introduces the leader’s role in defining, planning and/or implementing organisational change through the lens of a people leader - Identifying Opportunities - Examines the proactive and mindful approach that aims at identifying opportunities that arise through change

- Cost Benefit Analysis - Provides the knowledge to implement the simple technique of considering whether investment in a change initiative will be worthwhile compared to the benefits of implementing it

- Change Impact Analysis (CIA) - Articulates the gap analysis process that examines the affect that change will have on the three core dimensions of business: people, processes and technology.

- Employee Consultation - Highlights the importance of developing and implementing effective consultation mechanisms that provide team members with opportunities to share ideas, experience and concerns

DAY THREE

- Influence - Introduces participants to tools and techniques to effectively influence and persuade team members, peers and other managers - Change Resistance - Explores a range of tools and techniques that leaders can employ to effectively work with individuals and teams that are change reluctant and/or fatigued - Lessons Learned - Illustrates the leader’s role in assessing the success or otherwise of the project and capturing insights that will help inform future projects - Bringing It All Together - An opportunity for participants to reflect and apply their learnings from the course to a fictional case study
