Dr. Myron Rolle, World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali, the 66 th Inspector General of the U.S. Army, Brother Lieutenant General Leslie C. Smith & the Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army (G4), Brother Lieutenant General Aundre F. Piggee. Brother Burnett presented on project management. The presentation focused on the key elements of scope, resources and time. The students then worked in eight teams to practice project manage- ment techniques by creating one of the following: a KL business, multicultural history project, social action/commu- nity service project or social media
site. Participants chose to create a KL apparel businesses, history projects on the Greenwood riots and Emmett Till and raising awareness of social action projects. Brother Draon Glenn presented key points regarding the use and manage- ment of time. Brother Glenn reported that “time management will help students improve in their career/school. Organizing each day helps students to complete work on time, stay engaged during important meetings, projects, assignments and it gives students the space to be creative and proactive regarding tasks. Possessing strong time-
management skills can ultimately lead to accomplishing key goals and academic advancement in school. Time manage- ment skills are important because they help with structuring day-to-day chal- lenges in ways that permit students to successfully achieve academic, athletic and personal goals.” Day three commenced with a mental health discussion and dialogue with the cohort by Brother Dr. Samuel Odom on the views of mental health. Partici- pants developed a working definition of mental health referenced by various disorders including Depressive, Anxiety, Adjustment and Posttraumatic Stress
