Kappa Alpha Psi ® Foundation President Brother Michael DuBose declared that “town halls such as this must be a prior- ity of Kappa Alpha Psi and a priority to fund by the Kappa Alpha Psi Founda- tion. The challenges that our young boys and men face in education, health and mental health are many and we must continue to do all that we can to support these initiatives in our chapters and communities.” Executive Director for the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Brother L’Mani S. Viney, indicated “it is important, when we hold town halls such as this, that we give our youth the platform to speak and tell their truths. Far too often the adults dominate and the youth become the third person. When our young men speak, as they did today, it places the challenges that they deal with at the center of gravity and we must con- front those challenges in a first person narrative. A narrative that is real and unflinching.”
