“In every position I have held, It seems like there has always been a divide. Whether it was a legal depart- ment, bar association or the many boards I have served on, there has been a division that needed a bridge. I be- came known for the willingness and hav- ing the ability to bridge those divides… White, Black, Democrat or Republican.” In Kappa, we have these factions. They even have names, but I get it and I understand it. I’m not a part of a fac- tion. I just want to be a Kappa. I just want to be a Nupe and do what’s best for the organization. I have absolutely no personal agenda at all. To me, that’s when you start having issues and start taking sides rather than taking the side of the fraternity.”
