One day I decided to look up "best black tennis players" and Arthur Ashe came up. I did my research on him and found out he was a Kappa and I could relate to his situation in the professional world with him being the only black player at the time, I was also the only black player on my team in high school. But his perseverance, his dedication, and his achievement showed me what it meant to be a Kappa Man. How Will I Work to Support the Grand Polemarch: My job is to sup- port him completely with all his initia- tives and ideas but to also share the voice of the undergrads and ensure our voices are heard as well. The ultimate goal is to continuously make Kappa better and I have no doubt that Grand Polemarch Shelton will do that. How Will I Support the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch: Support- ing the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch won't be hard at all. It’s so surreal that four years ago I was just a freshman dreaming of being Mister Kentucky State University. I remember watching give his welcome at orientation and saying to myself “that’ll be me one day.” That year I became Mister Freshman 2015-2016. Moving forward to sophomore year, I became the Sophomore Class Presi- dent and gave away my own scholar- ship to a student that was in need. My junior year, I became the Execu- tive First Vice President where I built a fantastic bond with a group of guys I call my brothers til this day. I learned so much and that year was when I de- cided to run for SGA President instead of Mister KSU. My senior year, I became the Student Government Association President and Student Regent where I was also selected as an White House HBCU Scholar, gave away the first SGA schol- arship, and sat on the board that ap- proved lower tuition for my students. Now I’m here, at my last year, where my dream has become a reality. I am serving as the 26th Mister Kentucky State University and next Thursday, Oct. 10th at 7:30 pm in Exum Gym- nasium, I will be officially crowned as Mister Kentucky State University.

Interests: Basketball and cooking My high school basketball coach is a Nupe and I admired how well he carried himself as a man on and off the court. I got to college and quickly noticed the Nupes on the yard had the same demeanor my high school coach had. It was a very easy decision to make when the time was right.
