Fall Journal (Post Conclave Issue)

God is good all the time. I stand before you tonight humbled by this tremendous honor that has been bestowed upon me...So I would explain to you tonight that I am expressing gratitude to the four cor- ners that have held my life together: God, family, friends and frater- nity. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife of 53 years, my wife Sandy. He's blessed me with a wonderful family and a fraternity...So I say with all my heart, which is over-flowing with gratitude tonight, thank you. I thank God for all he has done and the places he has put me.... Our Grand Polemarch Stud Greene wrote: 'When 'ere the noonday sun is high, a Brother pauses to think of Kappa Alpha Psi, and per- form some deed in Phi Nu Pi, that's the Kappa of my dreams.' ...Con- tinue to be dedicated to all that you believe in, be committed to it, remain passionate about it. Life to me is like a relay race. I've had my turn, but as we run this race the person who is going to receive the baton next is never standing still. So as you wait to take your turn, you have to be in motion, you have to be doing things. Don't ever quit. This is your time that is coming...I thank you all my Brothers from Kappa Alpha Psi for honoring me this way.”
