Plan to be there for the . . . ANNUAL FIREWISE DAY MEETING
WHO ARE ALL OF THESE NEW PEOPLE?
The community has a certification requirement to hold a Firewise Education Event each year. Residents' attendance is needed to demonstrate community participation in support of our Firewise efforts. The RVFD, MMRP, Maricopa Emergency Management, Tonto National Forest, and others have been speakers in the past, keeping residents updated on processes and procedures. THE 2024 FIREWISE DAY WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH, FROM 9 TO 11 AM IN THE RIO VERDE COMMUNITY CENTER MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM. 18816 E. FOUR PEAKS BLVD, RIO VERDE All Tonto Verde and Rio Verde residents are urged to attend the 90-minute meeting, which is an annual community education event. Residents also need to show support for reducing the risk of wildfire. This can be done by reporting landscape work hours and/or dollars spent maintaining home yards. Before the Nov. 9th meeting, report hours worked on your landscaping using the Firewise timesheet on the HOA website under Community Documents or turn in landscape receipts at the TVA Office. You can alternatively send copies to the Tonto Verde Firewise Coordinator, Diane Newcomb, at dnewcomb1957@gmail.com or call 856.498.4160 for more information. Once a wildfire is ignited, it is too late to think about prevention, and we must be proactive! Please attend the Firewise Day Event on Nov. 9th and participate in protecting our community.
Extend a warm welcome and greet the latest Tonto Verde residents (please note that the list may not include all new residents from October). Kathryn Kendall 19030 E. Eaglenest Dr From: Chandler, AZ
