During the month of October, VioletKids learned all about God’s forgiveness. As we looked at stories in the Bible such as the bronze snake in Numbers, Jacob and Esau in Genesis, and Jesus’ message on forgiveness in Matthew 18, we learned that because God forgives us, we can forgive others! Our memory verse for October was Hebrews 8:12, “I will forgive their wrongdoing.” Our Sunday night Olympians group spent an evening making “welcome blankets” for Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Ronald McDonald House. This was a great way for them to live out 1 Timothy 4:12 that says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” We had an amazing turnout for our church’s annual Trunk or Treat event! There were many VioletKids families that showed up in their best costumes and trunk decorations!
