15 day tour India’s Golden Triangle & Goa
Day 4: Agra After a leisurely breakfast head out for your visit to Agra Fort. This walled imperial city was founded in 1565 and is a well-deserving UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its palaces, grand mosques and elaborate public hall are crafted from pink-red sandstone and are testament to an era when Indo-Muslim art, strongly marked by influences from Persia, was at its height. Continue to the Tomb of I’timad-ud-Daulah, a Mughal mausoleum built for the grandfather of the Mumtaz Mahal, who the Taj Mahal was in turn built for. The tomb is colloquially known as the “jewel box”, or the “Baby Taj”. Day 5: Agra - Jaipur Transfer to Jaipur by car. En route, visit the abandoned city Fatehpur Sikri, in the province of Uttar Pradesh, which is one of the best-preserved collections of Mughal architecture in India. Continue onto Abhaneri, a small village of the Dausa district in northern Rajasthan and home to one of the largest step wells in India. Your evening is free in Jaipur. Day 6: Jaipur Enjoy a free day at leisure for further exploration of this fascinating, colourful city. Day 7: Jaipur Enjoy a full-day city tour of Jaipur. Visit Amer Fort, where a jeep ride will spare you the trouble of walking up to the fortress. Reach the top of the Amer Fort and stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls and learn about the Hindu and Mughal traditions that influenced the design of this impressive structure. You’ll also visit Jaipur City Palace. Day 8: Jaipur - Goa Transfer to Jaipur airport for your short flight to Goa. Upon arrival, transfer to your Goa Beach hotel. Day 9-14: Goa Enjoy your time in Goa with its blend of Indian & Portuguese cultures, beautiful beaches, and spiritual heritage. Day 15: Goa - UK After breakfast transfer in time for your departure flight.
