Creating a 7C Culture Within Your Team
4. Celebrate Examples of 7C Behaviours Publicly acknowledge when someone embodies a “C”, especially when doing so was challenging.Also celebrate “productive failures” – moments when someone took a courageous risk that didn’t succeed but led to valuable learning. 5. Provide Feedback and Coaching Using the 7C Framework Use the “Pitfalls to Avoid” as a coaching tool. Instead of saying, “You’re too rigid,”say, “I notice that you may be falling into the trap of Rigid Consistency – let’s explore how you can uphold your values while remaining flexible in your methods.”
2. Creating a Shared Language Around the 7Cs
THE COHERENCE TRIANGLE: UA + PURPOSE + 7C Ultimate coherence emerges from the alignment of three dimensions:
Use the vocabulary of the 7Cs in daily conversations: “I feel we’re slipping into Groupthink here – let’s take a moment for the Devil’s Advocate,” or “This decision requires Courage – let’s analyse the risks together.” 3. Integrating the 7Cs into Team Processes •
Leadership is not a solo endeavour. To truly embody moral ambition, you need to create a culture where the 7Cs are practised by everyone. This involves: 1. Modelling the Behaviours – Including Vulnerability Don’t just show your 7C successes. Share your pitfalls, moments of discovering blind spots, and mistakes as well. When you say, “I realised I was falling into the trap of Performative Consideration; here’s what I learned,” you create a psychologically safe space where others can grow too.

Unique Ability (Who I Am): Your natural talents and sources of joy Purpose & Vision (Why I Exist): Your reason for being and direction 7C Leadership (How I Contribute): Your method of moral impact

Meetings: Start with a check-in on which C the team should strengthen this week Feedback: Structure feedback around the 7Cs (“You showed Courage by challenging that assumption” Recruitment: Assess candidates for alignment with the 7Cs Performance Reviews: Integrate the 7Cs into evaluation criteria Retrospectives: Use Tool 1 to identify areas for improvement

When these three elements are aligned, you don’t “do” leadership – you ARE a leader. Your UA (Who you are) informs your Purpose (its mission, aim, or goal), your Purpose guides your 7Cs, and your 7Cs amplify your UA (who you are). It is this coherence that creates lasting impact and protects you from burnout.
