Ambassadors For Christ T HE Kappa Kai Class of the First Baptist Church, Minneapolis (W . B. Riley, pastor), was organized January 17, 1925, by Mr. A . F. Mettel, its present teacher. The membership now is about sixty-five and the attend ance has reached that figure a number of times. The class has always held, without fail, a week-night prayer meeting, which accohnts for its enthusiasm for winning souls. A t the end of class sessions there have been some 75 converts to Christ as Saviour. The members have an evangelistic team and have held nearly, a hundred mission meetings at which many have confessed Jesus Christ as Saviour. The Class undertook a work in connection with the Sunday school a.t the State Reformatory in the Spring of 1926. The Superintendent of the First Baptist Church Sunday School turned over to the Class a request from Mr. Webb, o f the Reforma tory, for financial aid to buy Sunday-school helps for his teachers and members of his Sunday school of some two hundred members at that time. This started an-interest in the problem. On July 15, 1926, on invitation of Mr. Webb, the class held an evangelistic meeting in the Chapel of the Refor matory. - The Reformatory is sixty-five miles from Min neapolis, but the trip was more than a thousand times repaid in the blessings the members received. That first meeting saw thirty-three young men confess their Sav iour. The class has been privileged to hold ten. meetings in the Reformatory since July, 1926, on Sunday after noons, at which 113 men have accepted the Saviour. Each o f these men has been supplied by the. class with a “ full year’s subscription” to T he K ing ’ s B usiness . Last September, the class requested Mr. Webb to canvass the inmates - and offer Correspondence Bible Courses to them. Seventy-four courses have been sup plied by the class, and the blessings that have come to' the class have been great. The teacher o f the class writes the Secretary of oUr Correspo nd enc e School: “ Allow me to

ever entered into the work among the men of this institution has aided so much in the molding of their lives —fitting them to go out into society and live upright lives;.-as t h e study of God’s Word. “ Therefore, t h e Biola Correspondence Bible Courses seem to me to be the greatest incentive after m e n have accepted Jesus Christ as a personal Saviour, in getting them interested in the g r e a t fundamentals through the Word of God. “ Let me give you two illustrations “ One o f the young
men after being led to Jesus Christ then took a Bible Cor respondence Course, finishing with an average of ninety- seven per cent. He told me that before coming here, he knew practically nothing of the Bible. He has been out a short time doing work for the Master and also was appoint ed Superintendent of a Sunday school in his home town. “ Another young man, who was continually being re
ported for mis conduct jin the institution, w a s converted in a Kappa Kai Class meeting h e r e , then took a Cor respondence Bi ble C o u r s e , passing w i t h a very good aver age, and I am glad to say never received another report for mis conduct for the remainder of his time here. He is now on parole and just before he left asked for
