Many area residents are making it too
easy for thieves to victimize them.
That is a conclusion of a recent crime
prevention blitz carried out by the
Hawkesbury Police Explorers. Members
carried out parking lot crime prevention
inspections around local businesses,
reminding shoppers that thieves areon the
lookout for vehicles at risk.
People who had left their vehicles
unlocked, orwhohad left valuable items in
plain sight, received a friendly reminder
from the Police Explorers.
Crime statistics show that over 80 per
