little monkey faces.That decides it; monkeys are most definitely funny. The sun shines through the windows giving a warming glaze to the passengers who, in my opinion, do not appreciate such sun.The sun is like a didgeridoo: when you have it you don’t appreciate it and when you don’t you miss it.Come to think about it, that isn’t really quite right at all. So if I have learnt anything today it is that the sun is most definitely not like a didgeridoo. The sun is more like a ball of infinitely hot helium gas. Yes, that sounds more like it.The train stops and I hop out. A drizzle starts to fall as Laura approaches the platform. I find myself once more on the train. It is odd; the only time I think is when I am on the train. The rest of the day is like that McDonalds I see when walking from work to the station. It is a never-changing routine. I get up, do you want fries with that, I have a shower, do you want fries with that, I have breakfast, do you want fries with that? Actually, sometimes, once in a little while, I would want fries with breakfast. That is not the point, however; the point is that life is like McDonalds and there is nothing one can do to change that. So if life is like McDonalds then I guess people are like burgers and burgers are made of cows so people are like cows but cows eat grass. So life is McDonalds and people are grass. I should really start writing because, judging by the crap that sells in this day and age, I would become very rich indeed, richer than the man who made McDonalds for that matter. I get out, see Laura, it starts to rain. I am leaving work early and decide to call Jessica. I haven’t seen Jessica in a while and I think that maybe it would be nice to see her. I call her up and funnily enough she’s free. So I mount the train and we depart. ‘Depart’: what an odd word. It is rather pretentious, don’t you think? What’s wrong with simple old ‘leave’? ‘The train leaves the station’ is perfectly concise and not as bloody pretentious as ‘departs’. Anyway, the train passes my usual spot and plunges powerfully into a tunnel and, as we come out on the other side, a beautiful arch of sunshine spreads across the
