What an amazing and exciting time we are experiencing in the cattle industry right now. We are seeing record high cattle prices in all segments of the industry. Everything suggests that this will be the trend for the foreseeable future. This is an opportune time to move your operation and genetics forward. Remember cow herds that excel in fertility, performance, and efficiency will always be profitable. In the Angus breed, we ultimately use the same genetics. So, what separates all of us? The answer is the breeder! Here at Fairview Farms, we are a performance-oriented herd that believes the cows are the foundation. We want growth, power, and mass, because that equals pounds! Cows must calve every year, breed back, and wean heavy calves that go into the feedlot and continue to grow and convert forage into red meat. We have many contemporary groups that have shown the ability of our cows to live in various environments and still produce the high-performance cattle we demand. The ultimate measure of performance is profitability, and we believe that the bulls in this sale will keep you in business. The set of bulls in this sale represents our concerted effort to improve foot quality and disposition, while maintaining our power and performance. These bulls are soggy, deep-sided and thick, while maintaining their athleticism, soundness, and functionality. They have been raised without creep on a high-roughage diet to help ensure longevity. They have been fed a low-energy diet since coming off test in late October. I am confident that these bulls will perform as expected for their new owners.
