We always try to offer elite heifer progeny from our donors if their phenotype and genetic package aligns in a manner to thrust them into the forefront of our calf crop. The stars aligned with Lot 201 and we find ourselves with one of the best heifers we will have ever put in our sale offering. From early last spring this female had the makings of something special. Sired by Armstong, she is an elite performer with added length, mass and power, yet contains enough class and angularity to still express a real feminine and cowy look. A daughter of our now deceased donor dam, Pine Coulee Everelda W77, she offers the most carcass merit of any progeny of this great female. Scanning with a 7.73 marbling score to earn a ratio of 186, she also backs up her visual muscle with a 12.3-inch ribeye to ratio 104. Weighing in over 1100 pounds at a year, she offers an EPD profile highly usable with added carcass EPD strength. Her donor dam has far exceeded our expectations and was truly a special female. Living halfway though 17 years of life, she maintained a youthfulness and foot quality that is not found on every street corner. Her pedigree was a compilation of “who’s who” amongst Angus maternal heavyweights as she combined Net Worth, EXT, Rainmaker 340, and Traveler 124. With lot 201 tracing back to the famed Everelda Entense 1137, I don’t know of many females who have this much proven historical backing with this much modern phenotype and EPDs. This heifer is in an elite class and one of the great females we have put forth for sale. She’s worth the time to come and see.
