ISLAND HOPPING WITH P&O CRUISES

The Caribbean is a potpourri of distinct islands, set in azure seas, each with their own culture and style. What they have in common is a sensuous lifestyle and seductive charm. Leisurely island-hopping around these gems would be impossible were it not for a delightful sojourn aboard a cruise ship.

BARBADOS

BONAIRE

CURACAO

Barbados is an infectiously happy island with an embarrassment of shimmering white sugar spun beaches along the Platinum coast. Sightseeing highlights include: Andromeda Gardens; Farley Hill; Harrison’s Cave; and Speightstown.

At Bonaire, the Dutch influence is unmistakable, nowhere more so than in the pastel-perfect capital of Kralendijk. Beautiful fringing reefs surround this natural sanctuary with its vast population of flamingos.

It’s a similar scene in Willemstad on Curacao. Here, tall, narrow-gabled, 18th century houses are painted in varying shades of intense yellows and royal blues. It’s like a sun-kissed, fairytale Amsterdam.

ST VINCENT & THE GRENADINES

GRENADA

ST LUCIA

Fringed with coral reefs and steeped in pirate lore, St Vincent and the Grenadines exude serene island vibes. Here you can kickback on talcum-soft beaches and cool down in gin-clear seas.

The ‘Spice Isle’ of Grenada boasts rainforests; hot springs; waterfalls; as well as picture-perfect beaches. High in the mountains is the renowned Grand Etang National Park – a stand-out on every bucket-list.

On St Lucia, an excursion to the famous Pitons in the south; the Sulphur Baths; the Diamond Mineral Baths; and the world’s only drive-in volcano at Soufrière, should not be missed.
