About the Females Open Females
Development Philosophy Our open heifers are developed with the same mindset as our bulls – longevity, functionality, and real-world perfor- mance. We focus on raising females that will breed up, stay in the herd, and remain profitable for years to come. Nutrition & Management These heifers are developed on a 38 NEg ration consisting of corn silage, earlage, corn, mineral, and free-choice hay. They are intentionally kept on the greener side, allowing them to grow and mature naturally rather than being pushed for short-term appearance. Honest, No-Shortcut Females The open heifers are managed right alongside our replacement females. They are not given special treatment or fed to look good for sale day. What you see is what you get – honest, functional cattle developed the right way. Disposition You Can Trust Disposition on these heifers is second to none. Calm, easy-handling females are a priority in our program, and it shows in this group. Built to Last These open females are designed to go to work for you, breed up efficiently, and stand the test of time – exactly the kind of cows we want in our own herd.
Bred Females
Developed Like Real Cows Our bred heifers and cows are managed right alongside our cow herd, not sorted off and fed up to look good for sale day. They are developed to stay sound, productive, and profitable in real-world conditions. Health Program Bred heifers received two rounds of Guardian, with the first dose given on December 25th and the second on Jan- uary 11th. The cows also received their annual booster on January 11th, ensuring these females are fully prepared heading into calving. Management & Exercise These females are wintered on cornstalks and are required to walk to water daily, providing natural exercise to maintain soundness, muscle tone, and structural integrity. Calving-Ready Females Two of the heifers will be calved out prior to sale day. All calving work will be completed, and each will sell as a proven pair. Their calves will be over a month old at sale time and fully registered – ready to grow and perform for their new owners.
