These 15 open heifers were hand selected from a larger group Craig Johnson purchased from our friends/bull customers. They are fully vaccinat- ed-bangs vaccinated and received Bovi-Shield Gold FP5 L5, Covexin 8, and ivermectin pour-on on October 17th, then boostered December 4th. Heifers are currently on a 38 Neg ration consisting of corn silage, earlage, corn, mineral, and free-choice hay. Selling in groups of five. March and April born, they are expected to weigh approximately 750-800 lbs on sale day, with actual weights provided on the supplement sheet. 1 BLACK OPEN COMMERICAL HEIFER
These A& R open heifers are out of the same cows we use as embryo recipients that did not stick with an embryo. While they are still a little green, they are on the right track to develop into productive, long-lasting cows. The dams behind these heifers remain in our herd and are carrying embryos this year. Born late March through early April, these heifers will sell in three groups, sorted by color and frame score. The smaller-framed heifers are expected to weigh around 700 lbs on sale day, with the larger-framed group weighing approximately 750 lbs. Actual weights will be provided on the supplement sheet sale day. All heifers are on a complete vaccination and health program, receiving Bovi-Shield Gold FP5 L5, Covexin 8, ivermectin pour-on, and are bangs vaccinated.

Here’s another opportunity to own some outstanding commercial open females sired by Dahlke Working Class 231K & DKK Next Level 3014. These heifers come straight off the top end of the Brix’s replacement pen-the kind they planned to keep back. After some convincing, we got them to agree to offer two daughters of 231K & 3014 in this sale. We AI their very best cows, so these females are coming right off the top of a proven program. Born late February through early March, they are expected to weigh approximately 850-900 lbs on sale day, with actual weights listed on the supplement sheet.
