OUR COMMUNITY

The LIFTS PROGRAM was introduced to empower teachers new to teaching or new to Legacy to acclimate, assimilate, and grow within Legacy’s culture and expectations of teachers. The program pairs teachers with a mentor for the entire year as well as provides space to learn and grow professionally within the Legacy community.

The Admissions Office hosted both CLOTHING AND COFFEE CONNECTIONS this year as a way for parents to meet and connect. Clothing Connections were “new-to-you” Legacy Spiritwear events where families could drop off and shop donated, gently-used apparel. Coffee Connections were dedicated times for all PreK-12 th grade parents to gather and get to know each other better over a cup of coffee. The annual ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY welcomed the Legacy community for cheering and celebrating the athleticism of our students. The crowd was so big that about 180 pounds of Legacy Pit Master Mark Domino’s BBQ pork was eaten for lunch!

The annual 7 th and 8 th grade trip shifts to CAMP SHAMINEAU and becomes the highlight of the year for many students. In addition to the array of fun activities, community builders, and team events, many students were impacted by the chapel messages throughout the trip on Galatians 2:20, walking away with a greater sense of why they need to be in God’s Word and active participants in their faith. BECAUSE THERE WERE FEWER DISTRACTIONS AT SHAMINEAU, MY CLASS WAS ABLE TO ACTUALLY ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION WITH EACH OTHER AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER MORE.

OUR LEGACY BUSINESSES

Through our new BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES , Legacy partnered with families, alumni, and community business owners, providing an incredible opportunity for Legacy businesses to be known within our loyal community. Because of the generosity of our business partners, the 2022-23 Business Sponsorship program raised $90,000 toward the Legacy Fund, which elevates, expands, and enhances our student experiences.
