On the lookout for solutions Nordea Asset Management‘s (NAM) innovative ESG STARS solutions offer clients a wide range of building blocks to construct future-proof, sustainable portfolios.

The inclusion of environmental, social and govern- ance (ESG) aspects in investment decisions has become mainstream by now, encouraged by regu- latory measures and social interest. The summer of 2022 saw additions to MiFID II, which brought about major changes for the advisor community, not least the need to incorporate sustainability preferences in the overall client suitability assessment. NAM has built up expertise in responsible and sustainable investing over 35 years. In the search for sustainable solutions, Christophe Girondel, Global Head of Institutional and Wholesale Distribution at NAM, points to NAM’s renowned ESG STARS strat- egies. These look to proactively identify the leaders of tomorrow. ”The teams behind our ESG STARS strategies focus on companies that have sustainable business models and that act responsibly in relation to all stakeholders – employees, suppliers, customers, investors, and society at large,” says Girondel. NAM‘s first ESG STARS vehicle was launched in 2011. Today, the suite contains 15 Nordea 1 funds across both the equity and fixed income asset classes. All ESG STARS
