Protecting Place, Landscape and Biodiversity Sustainable delivery also means respecting the character and ecology of the region: Catenary-free, battery-powered trams reduce visual impact and operational emissions. Tree and shrub planting enhances streetscapes, supports biodiversity and creates new habitats. Addition of new bat boxes, rehomed badger sets to facilitate construction works.
