LOOKING FORWARD

Later in the year, our flagship Business South Annual Conference returns on Thursday 5 November. Planning is already underway, and we look forward to sharing more as the agenda develops. Organisations interested in partnering with us are warmly invited to get in touch with me to leigh@businesssouth.org. We are also excited to host our Novice Networking events in the inspiring surroundings of Marwell Zoo. These sessions offer junior colleagues a welcoming environment to build confidence, expand their networks and form the relationships that will support the next generation of regional growth. Finally, this year marks a major milestone: 20 years of Business South. We will celebrate this anniversary with a special event in July, and with more than 80 Business Champions already registered, it promises to be a memorable evening. Please register HERE. Thank you to all our partners, champions and supporters. Together, we are shaping an ambitious and prosperous future for the Central South. A LANDMARK YEAR AHEAD FOR THE CENTRAL SOUTH

In just a few days, the Business South team will travel to MIPIM in Cannes, where we will showcase

the region’s most exciting development opportunities.

Our spotlight will fall on the coastal cities of Portsmouth and Southampton, the Hampshire towns of Basingstoke and Winchester, and extending west into Dorset with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP). Throughout the week, we will host a full programme of activity alongside 20 public and private sector partners. On Wednesday 11 March we will host our popular Central South Investors Lunch and on Thursday morning I’m delighted that the Central South Breakfast is in partnership with Edgingtons Architects. The enthusiasm and commitment of all our partners is invaluable, and we are grateful to everyone for your continued support. Our investment calendar continues in May with UKREiiF, where we will once again promote the Central South to a national and international audience of investors and developers. Building on the success of last year’s event, we look forward to strengthening our profile and forging new connections.

2026 has begun with energy, collaboration and a clear focus on long‐term prosperity for the Central South. The year opened in Westminster with our first House of Commons Reception, delivered in partnership with the Growing Together Alliance. The event brought business leaders and regional partners together to champion a shared ambition: connecting people, places and capital to drive sustainable growth. This will be a theme for 2026 as we continue to drive collaboration across the region as well as nationally and internationally, with our public and private sector partners.
