BUSINESS UPDATE AT HOUSE OF COMMONS RECEPTION
Thank you to all Business South champions, who attended the reception which was supported by Deloitte. We are proud to be part of the alliance with Advanced Oxford, BusinessLDN, Business West, Cambridge Ahead, The Northern Powerhouse Partnership, and North West Business Leadership Team. Dame Chi Onwurah MP delivered the keynote and Henri Murison led the panel discussion with Richard Bray Harriet Fear MBE and Rob Bridge.
Business leaders, local authority chiefs, Mayors and MPs gathered for a reception at the House of Commons in January to hear the latest updates from the Growing Together Alliance.
A key area of focus for the Growing Together Alliance has been championing more effective place based economic strategies to boost regional productivity, delivered through a greater level of engagement between Central Government and regional bodies to develop policies for good growth.
Dame Chi Onwurah MP, Chair of the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee welcomed guests to the reception and set the scene.
