NEW BEGINNINGS FOR EAP The NSLHD EAP welcomes a new external provider. As of Tuesday the 1 st of June PeopleSense by Altius is the new external provider working collaboratively with the internal team to provide EAP support to all NSLHD employees. FYI the contact details for all the providers are in the contact flag at the bottom of the page. As the NSLHD EAP transitions from the previous external provider Converge International to the new provider PeopleSense , we wanted to ensure that no one is adversely impacted by the changeover. Consequently all urgent crisis callers will be supported by the provider that is contacted, be it the internal EAP or one of the external EAP providers. If anyone calls Converge International on or after the 1 st of June to access non-urgent support they will be redirected to the internal EAP team and the new external EAP provider. Where the person is already accessing support from Converge International they will have the option of completing the support by the 31st of July, or changing over to either the internal EAP team or the new external EAP provider PeopleSense . Transition arrangements. What support does EAP provide and to whom? To ensure all employees are able to access the support they need to manage their work and personal challenges, the EAP provides many avenues of support including crisis support, individual support, groups support and manager support. Immediate household family members are also able to access individual psychological support in an effort to ensure our employees are well supported in all aspects of their lives. Access. Appointments can be made via telephone or email. Urgent or crisis support is available 24/7, 365 days per year and the access options include face to face, telephone and video call sessions to ensure immediate support can be provided. Employees can also select the gender of the counsellor they require and select an office in a location most convenient to them. Specialised support is also available to ensure employees feel both comfortable in accessing support and understood, regardless of what their concerns are.

In additional to the normal broad range of support provided by both the internal and
external EAP providers, PeopleSense provides some additional services including Nutrition, Wellbeing, Individualised exercise, Career redirection, Career Coaching, Financial, Resiliency and Manager support. Please discuss these services and terms of access before deciding to progress.
