Supports the General Fund Jim Morton is a fifth-generation Montana rancher with a passion for photography and documenting ranch life. His
family has deep ranching roots,
with operations dating back to 1906 near Cardwell and 1910 near Willow Creek. In 1985, his grandfather transitioned the family’s cattle herd into a registered Red Angus program. When not working cattle or putting up hay, Jim can be found behind the lens capturing authentic moments on the ranch. His photos are known for their emotion and depth, drawing viewers into the experience of daily ranch work. This 24” x 12” gallery acrylic print, titled Midnight Majesty, reflects both creativity and opportunity.Taken during a bitterly cold Montana winter night while checking cows, Jim preserved the stillness and beauty that followed a brutal storm. The image captures the grit and tranquility of night calving – a timeless reminder of the resilience behind ranching.
