Great North Run Day Rover ticket Purchase a Day Rover ticket via the Pop app for just £6.50. The Day Rover, which can be used all day on Sunday 13 September, is ideal for runners and spectators who may need to jump on and off different methods of public transport at any time of the day. With travel options available all day across multiple methods of public transport i.e. Tyne and Wear Metro, any bus service, Shields Ferry and Northern trains between Newcastle and Sunderland on event day. If you choose to buy tickets on the day instead, please pay by card or contactless, to help speed up boarding, avoid ticket machines running out of change and minimise queues.
