Picasso Triggerfish (Rhinecanthus aculeatus)
Striking lines, bold colors, and a name inspired by art— this fish is hard to miss. The Picasso triggerfish glides through Havodda’s Reefs like a living painting. Here in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, it thrives in coral-rich zones with plenty of hiding spots. You’ll spot them darting between rocks and Reef walls, especially in the outer house Reef. • Recognized by angular lines and bright patterns • Active during the day, solitary and territorial • Often seen cruising Reef edges and sandy bottoms
