Technical information
For the production of Hardy Select paint rollers, we only use coverings of leading European textile manufacturing.
Hardy Select paint rollers coverings are characterized by very high abrasion resistance and maximum durability. Specially twisted and processed fibers give excellent performance per square meter, a very high absorption and excellent paint transfer.
Regular quality inspections at every stage of production guarantee stable and repeatable superior quality of products.
All Maxi Hardy Select painting rollers are equipped with a DuoPlus system, which seals the roller core and includes bearings on both sides. Such solution significantly increases the comfort and efficiency of work.
Additional tips are placed on each covering to help you make the optimal choice of paint roller for specific paint types: Paint roller application: lll – Optimum ll ¡ – Good l ¡¡ – Possible
EMULSION COATS – emulsion, latex, silicone and silicate paints. ACRYLIC COATS – water-based, acrylic, polyurethane and parquet varnish coats.
SOLVENT-BASED COATS – solvent-based paints and coats, epoxy coats, and two-component parquet varnish coats. WOOD STAINS AND GLAZES – all types of water-based or solvent-based stains, varnish stains and glaze coats. PRIMERS – all types of water-based or solvent-based primers.
Practical tips
The final effect of coating and the efficiency of coating product yield depend on the tool, the paint or coat, and the substrate. Here, the paint roller cover is critical.
Basic rules for painting with rollers: l the smoother the painted surface is to be the thinner the covering should be used l the rougher the wall (façade) surface is the thicker the covering should be used l the thicker the covering the higher efficiency per square meter l the higher viscosity of the paint is the thinner covering should be used l in case of any doubts, shorter covering should be used Preparation for work
Before the first use, wash the paint roller cover in water with soap (or a solvent, if you want to coat with solvent-based products). Next, remove all water (solvent) from the paint roller cover by rolling against an absorbing surface. This will greatly improve the absorption of the paint roller cover and remove all loose microfibres which could be left from the manufacturing process.
