Foundation IMPACT REPORT 2018

You helped. Because of you, our donors, the Great Plains Health Care Foundation was able to make a positive difference in the health and wellness of people in our region. Your support has touched the lives of countless patients and family members. The donations you make help more patients access the care they need right here at home – where they can heal with their families, loved ones and support networks nearby. You are a treasured part in this vital journey to growing our health care services to meet our region’s needs and ensuring access to quality care. To every donor who has invested in our mission, we extend heartfelt gratitude and pledge to continue earning your support.

YOU make a difference Thank you for making this past year a success at Great Plains Healthcare Foundation. As a result of your financial support, the Foundation proudly transferred $3.1 million to Great Plains Health. This assistance purchased many tools, equipment and services that otherwise could not have been provided and that continue to enhance the care provided by Great Plains Health in our region. 2018 Project highlights, which are detailed within, included translation stations, simulation equipment, telehealth services, pediatric distraction kits, computers, training and equipment for a variety of our departments, as well as funding for the emergency department construction. We are fortunate to have outstanding support from all of our stakeholders including employees, volunteers, vendors, patients and you. Our key initiatives include not only big projects such as the expansion of our cath lab and our emergency department, but also the small everyday touches that make the patient experience better such as providing a comfort cart that delivers toiletries, basic essentials, books and pleasantries to our inpatient guests. In 2018, we provided diabetic education and supplies in Lincoln County, patient assistance for our out-of-town guests, and support for our Hospice program. Through monthly donations, annual gifts, memorial tributes, giving club pledges, and planned gifts we continue to make a difference in healthcare throughout our region. Together, we are making a huge impact on the patient experience for our loved ones, friends and families. We want to thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you for many years to come.
