Key Responsibilities
The role: Chief People Officer Location: Bristol, UK / Denver, USA Working Period: full time Hybrid working arrangement Reports to: CEO
Strategy • In partnership with Yugo’s global
ensuring appropriate reporting and review and approval of key decisions • Establish an effective mechanism by which the people and culture team partner across the organization with key business leaders supporting them in their objective and key results • Partner with functional leads in overseeing departmental budgets, headcount, compliance and to mitigate organizational risks. • Ensure that each team leader has clear objectives and personal development plans • Oversee compensation practices and lead on the development of a compensation philosophy to ensure salary benchmarking and surveys are completed and updated on a regular basis • Lead cultural activities that enhance the employee experience. Seek ongoing feedback through eNPS and engagement to continually improve and create a workplace that is considered employer of choice. Leadership • Sponsor Yugo’s Global Diversity and Inclusion culture, ensuring leadership visibility and support for initiatives and strategy • Establish a “People culture” that cultivates people centric and performance driven mentality. • Build a sense of ownership with each team member to deliver capabilities and solutions that create value for Yugo; • Ensure that Yugo has HR operations, processes, data, systems, and resources (budget and staff) that enable our vision, in all key geographies where the organization operates. • Actively participate in Dot Group and external leadership activities, leading with people and culture expertise and insights. • Provide People Operations support to global employees. Additionally, provide support on escalated Employee Relations concerns in the field. What else? This is a hands-on finance role.
Leadership Team, update the Talent vision as necessary enabling continuous growth and evolution of the organization, and to attract, engage, and retain top talent through comprehensive compensation/ benefits, engagement and career path development. • Key sponsor of Yugo culture: in charge of updating key elements (values, policies), fostering cultural alignment across the Leadership Team, and ensuring that necessary mechanisms are in place to ensure Yugo maintains a common culture across its global footprint reflective of its values, in particular as the business grows and evolves • Support Yugo’s Leadership Team in the strategic evolution of the organization of their areas of responsibility, to reinforce a high-performance culture by working closely with our executive leaders in setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing and direct feedback. Utilize data to identify gaps and propose training coaching opportunities, or discipline as necessary. Development, Culture and Engagement • Partner with Dot Group Learning and Performance Director to build and enhance a high-performance culture through leadership development. • Build a strong pool of leaders and managers with the skills, capabilities and behaviors critical to enabling sustainable growth. • Challenge team to courageously partner, influence and challenge the status quo to elevate leadership and HR practices. • Evaluate, design, and execute the automation of technology systems as they relate to Human Resources. These improvements are critical to ensure the support of our rapid growth and expanding geographical footprint. • Develop SOPs and processes for human resources initiatives and organization. Work with the People Operations Directors to successfully execute strategies impacting our operations leadership and employees. • Incorporate feedback and partner with Dot Group and Remuneration Committee,

In our quest to change the world of student housing and establish Yugo as the global brand, we have a set of super-pillars, YugoEco, YuPro and YuGo to ensure we are fully equipped to transform students’ lives for the better – You Live, Learn & Work with Yugo. Our primary stakeholders include students, universities/colleges, investors, parents, and our sister companies within the Dot group. We are looking for a vibrant, driven and strategic human resources business leader. You will partner with executive leadership and the People and Culture team to define and implement the HR strategy throughout the organization and its programs, focusing on workforce planning, talent attraction and retention, employee experience and satisfaction, employee relations, compensation, and benefits. You have learned how to rapidly and safely support a growing business in a highly innovative and structured space while creating and maintaining sustainable competitive advantage. You see the future and support our Yugoers to create it with your highly connected and highly trusted relationships with all stakeholders. It’s a big job! You demonstrate the capacity to strategically shape change, promote commercial acumen and ownership, responsibility and integration of the Yugo values while meeting the organization's strategies and objectives.

Experience and Knowledge
Essential: • 5+ years progressively responsible HR roles including experience or exposure to areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, learning & development, employee engagement, employee relations and benefit administration. • 7+ years of experience guiding, developing, coaching and managing a team. • Master’s degree preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration • Experience implementing a wide range of creative and thoughtful talent management strategies and programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. • Prior acquisition experience and prior experience in a high growth company preferred. • Experience creating and executing tactical HR strategies that solve people and business problems. • Experience in implementing and leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives
• Experience utilizing HR data to develop HR key performance indicators to drive decision making and planning is required • Experience working on cross-functional topics that span all functional departments, collaborating and ensuring input across relevant stakeholders • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal - and an ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences globally • Experience maximizing value of HRIS systems • A team-player, who is willing to roll up their sleeves to do the work and who is motivated and inspired by Yugo’s mission and values • Innovative leader, able to challenge the status quo and to see the opportunities Desirable: • History with a fast-growing business • Real Estate Property Management/ Student Housing Industry experience managing global teams
