November 19th at 12:00 p.m. Sign up at the front desk! Weight Room 101 includes weight room orientation, specific instruction on upper and lower body exercises, and cardiovascular training tips. Instruction and guidance on how to properly train your entire body safely and effectively will help participants gain muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. For safety purposes, this class is limited to 10 participants. Please register in advance at the front desk. Closed-toe footwear is required.

Free Blood Pressure Check- Sanibel Fire District The Sanibel Fire District has teamed up with the Sanibel Recreation Center to offer a complimentary blood pressure screening on November 14th between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Sanibel Recreation Center lobby.

Dani Tourony Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Alongside the Sanibel Police Department, the Sanibel Recreation Center will now be a secondary location for issuing Residential Hurricane Passes. This effort aims to enhance convenience and accessibility to passes within the community. Passes may be picked up at the Sanibel Recreation Center during operating hours: Monday- Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Friday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Permits are still being issued at the Sanibel Police Department, 800 Dunlop Rd. Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The RESIDENTIAL (Green) Permit is for residents and property owners on Sanibel or Captiva and can be obtained with a valid ID with your Sanibel or Captiva address or a valid ID with another proof of residence (listed on application). To apply for a re-entry permit, click here and fill out the downloadable application. Email the completed form along with the required documentation to hurricanepass@mysanibel.com. and the permit will be mailed out once the application is processed. Registration is now open for the November Fun Days on November 25th, 26th and 27th. The program will run from 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Enrollment is available for children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Please pack a lunch, swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, goggles, and water. DOG LICENSES Sanibel Dog Licenses go on sale Monday, October 7th at the Sanibel Recreation Center, The cost of a dog license is $10; proof of current rabies inoculation is required at the time of purchase. Due to the fact that veterinarians are now giving rabies inoculations with 1 to 3 year validity, please give the expiration date on the dog license application form and not the date the inoculation was given.

Harmonic Healing is a unique, immersive experience designed to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being through the power of sound. During this 60- minute class, participants will be guided into a meditative state while being surrounded by the soothing vibrations of various sound healing instruments, such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. Whether you are new to sound healing or have previous experience, Harmonic Healing provides a serene space for self-discovery and rejuvenation.

Foam Roller Recovery is a restorative class focused on using foam rollers to release muscle tension, improve flexibility, and enhance overall recovery. Participants will learn techniques to perform self-myofascial release, a method that helps alleviate muscle soreness and tightness. This class is ideal for those looking to complement their workout routine with effective recovery strategies and improve their overall mobility and well-being. The first person on the account created will be the default payer or head of household, and must be an adult. The primary email address entered into the adult account will be the assigned username moving forward. 1. Fill in the form as completely as possible. All of the fields with an asterisk are mandatory —an account cannot be created without completing these sections. At least one emergency contact will also need to be added to the account. Registrants will have the opportunity to add family members to the household at a later point of the registration process. 2. To receive text alerts about class cancellations and facility closures, indicate you would like to receive mobile notifications 3.
