Every year in November, the world shines a spotlight on violence against women and children. We remember those who have paid with their lives because of gender-based violence (GBV). We empathise with those who feel trapped. We get angry with those who suffer. We speak up and stand up for those who can’t. During this year’s 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaign (held from 25 November to 10 December), Drakenstein Municipality will intensify our own 365 Days of Activism against GBV campaign through targeted awareness drives – rallying individuals to break the silence and actively combat this cycle of abuse. Read more about this in this edition of Vars . We also focus on social development, environmental stewardship, and local business success.
