over 200 enrolled in the school. Plans were being formulated to hold a “City-Wide” Vacation Bi ble School in 1969. Buildings would be secured in various parts o f the city for this endeavor. Workers from the church would take complete charge o f their par ticular Bible School and then a building that would house the en tire eifort would be used for “Evangelism of Parents!” The church could anticipate reaching some 700-1000 youngsters with this effort. The church in Cheyenne has no monopoly on the blessing o f God! God has blessed for several rear sons: The first is contained in the verse, “Where there is no vi sion, the people perish!” This verse speaks as much about us as it does to us. If we have no vision, we wither and die! Second, people are eager to hear the Word of God presented in a way that they can understand it. Third, people must be willing to work. But they can’t and won’t work unless they are taught how! Fourth, new peo ple must be reached constantly, otherwise we become clannish and snobbish. We secured a list of people who were new in town each week from the Credit Bu reau whom we endeavored to visit the first week they arrived. We estimated that we reached about 30 per cent of all that we con tacted when a visit was made that first week. We worked on the principle: you must invite them and you must have something for them when they come! Fifth, there must be goals. “ He that aimeth at nothing shall surely hit it!” In order to have goals, good records must be kept. A record o f visits made, results of visits, attendance in Sunday school, Morning Worship, Evening Serv ice and the Mid-Week Services were kept. However, there is one final con clusion to the church in Chey enne : “ Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it!” So to Him belongs all the glory, and we are but co workers with Him. BE

ing that first meeting were the pastor, his wife and a young couple who managed the Chris tian bookstore in town. From this meager beginning, God allowed the church to grow to become a lighthouse to Cheyenne. A temporary meeting place (I.O.O.F. Hall) was secured and the church was on its way with a Sunday school, Morning Wor ship, Evening Service and a Mid- Week Service. Only one ingredi ent was missing — people. The church grew in a remark able manner the first year. Around seventy people came to know Christ as their Saviour in 1965. At the end of that first year, plans were laid for the con struction o f a chapel — educa tional unit, the chapel to seat about 300 and the education fa cilities to house about 180. This dream became a reality a short time later. The building is con structed of brick inside and out and is valued at nearly $100,- 000.00. Yet because of God’s grace and a people “who had a mind to work,” the indebtedness is only about $58,000.00. Dedication Services o f these new facilities attracted some 300 people. The continued blessing of the Lord on the work was quite evident as almost from the very beginning of the use o f the new building, it was filled with people searching for the truth. At the end of three-and-one- half years, the attendance in the Morning Worship Services aver aged from 175 to 200 people. Yet this does not tell the story com pletely. During those three-and- one-half years, because o f Chey enne’s unstable economy, some 250 people moved away from the city and the church. Therefore, during this short period of time the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ had touched the lives of 450 to 500 people! During the four-year ministry o f Mr. and Mrs. Adrian House in Cheyenne, a Vacation B ib le School was held each summer. The first summer about 65 at tended the school; last summer
